Recently, Sony Pictures released some extended trailers and footage for it’s new film 2012. There is some controversy about the new extended footage of 2012 over whether the film might just be “over the top.”
The movie focuses on what may happen if the Mayan prophesy were to come true about December 12, 2012, which predicts that the world would end. In this film, California slides into the ocean. The clips show John Cusack’s character, Jackson Curtis, as almost superhuman like in his luck and survival skills, as he pilots an airplane through widespread and unbelievable damage.
The film 2012 is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 13, 2009 and is being produced by Son Pictures under the direction of Roland Emmerich. It includes popular film actors and actresses John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. It was filmed in Vancouver.
